HONOLULU - Hawaii Superferry announced today that it has secured dates for its annual drydocking for maintenance and recertification required by the Coast Guard. The Alakai will be drydocked at Honolulu Harbor beginning February 2 through February 17, 2009.
Reservations have been blocked out during this period and are open beginning February 18, 2009. Customers who have made reservations beginning February 2 through February 17, 2009 are being contacted and offered the option of receiving a full refund or booking for a later date.
“We appreciate the patience and understanding of our passengers while our vessel is undergoing its routine drydock requirement,” said Hawaii Superferry Director of Marine Operations John Keever. “We look forward to completing the process so that Alakai can get back to what she does best, which is servicing the people and businesses of Hawaii.”
Hawaii Superferry's ship, the Alakai, seats up to 800 passengers and carries approximately 200 vehicles. Visit http://www.HawaiiSuperferry.com for more information and arrival and departure times.
